陽(yáng)光蘇茜

　　泰戈?duì)栒f(shuō)：“當(dāng)人微笑時(shí)，世界就愛上了他。”The world loved man when he smiled。微笑就像生命中的一抹陽(yáng)光，會(huì)照亮你和他人的生活。如果你希望每一天都陽(yáng)光明媚，那就請(qǐng)你綻放出你的笑容。而善良則是生命中的彩虹，因?yàn)橛兴澜鐣?huì)變得更加美麗。

　　陽(yáng)光蘇茜并不是她真正的名字，她叫蘇茜·布朗，但每個(gè)人都叫她陽(yáng)光蘇茜。因?yàn)樗樕峡倰熘?yáng)光般燦爛的笑容，而且無(wú)論她走到哪里，總是會(huì)讓大家心情舒暢。最先只是她的爺爺這樣叫她，但它是這樣貼切，很快地就取代了蘇茜的本名。

　　蘇茜還是一個(gè)嬰兒時(shí)，她就從早到晚“咯咯”地笑個(gè)不停。除非是生病或是受傷了，否則誰(shuí)也不會(huì)聽到她的哭聲。當(dāng)她學(xué)會(huì)走路后，她便喜歡在房子里到處走，幫媽媽拿些小東西，做這些她從不知疲倦。她會(huì)一次坐在媽媽身邊一個(gè)小時(shí)，問(wèn)媽媽許多許多的問(wèn)題，或是自己拿出一本書來(lái)看。

　　蘇茜喜歡與其他小朋友一起快樂地玩耍。她從不說(shuō)一句不文明的話，總是想方設(shè)法地做些讓她的同伴快樂的事情。

　　一天，一個(gè)窮人家的小姑娘路過(guò)蘇茜家，小姑娘穿著一身很破舊的衣服，這使她成為孩子們嘲笑和戲弄的對(duì)象。蘇茜聽到門外的喧鬧聲，馬上跑到大門外，請(qǐng)那個(gè)可憐的小姑娘到家里去。

　　“你為什么要哭？”蘇茜問(wèn)。

　　“因?yàn)樗械娜硕荚谌⌒ξ?！”小姑娘抽泣著說(shuō)。

　　蘇茜把那個(gè)小姑娘帶進(jìn)她的房間，親切地同她說(shuō)著話，這讓小姑娘慢慢地高興起來(lái)。蘇茜還送給她一套漂亮的衣服和一雙鞋。這一切，給那個(gè)可憐的小姑娘帶來(lái)了真正的快樂與喜悅。自然，這個(gè)小姑娘也認(rèn)為，把蘇茜叫做“陽(yáng)光蘇茜”是再合適不過(guò)的了。

　　Susie Sunbeam

　　Susie Sunbeam was not her real name; that was Susan Brown. But everyone called her Susie Sunbeam, because she had such a sweet, smiling face, and always brought brightness with her when she came。

　　Her grandfather first gave her this name, and it seemed to fit the little girl so nicely that soon it took the place of her own。

　　Even when a baby, Susie laughed and crowed from morning till night. No one ever heard her cry unless she was sick or hurt。

　　When she had learned to walk, she loved to go about the house and get things for her mother, and in this way save her as many steps as she could。

　　She would sit by her mother's se for an hour at a time, and ask her ever so many questions, or she would take her new book and read。

　　Susie was always pleasant in her play with other children. She never used an unkind word, but tried to do whatever would please her playmates best。

　　One day, a poor little girl with a very ragged dress was going by and  Susie heard some children teasing her and making fun of her。

　　She at once ran out to the gate, and asked the poor little girl to come in. "What are you crying for?" Susie asked。

　　"Because they all laugh at me," she sa。

　　Then Susie took the little girl into the house. She cheered her up with kind words, and gave her a nice dress and a pair of shoes。

　　This brought real joy and gladness to the poor child, and she, too, thought that Susie was rightly called Sunbeam。
